My Breast Reduction Journey: Real Healing Moments (Part 2)

The early weeks after breast reduction surgery are full of surprises — some gentle, some uncomfortable, all deeply human. In this reflection, I share the reality of those healing days: the unexpected ease, the rib pain that lingered, and the way I had to learn (again and again) to trust my body’s wisdom.

This post is part of my From the Vault series, revisiting the earliest pieces of my breast reduction journey and sharing them again for anyone who may have missed them. The lessons inside are still true: healing isn’t about perfection or speed — it’s about presence, patience, and honoring your process.

If you’re navigating your own recovery, may this episode remind you that progress doesn’t always look like movement. Sometimes, the most important work is the stillness.

Hi, I'm Shelley Beyer.

I’ve been through breast reduction surgery myself, and I’m here to support other women on that same path—before surgery, after surgery, and in the everyday healing that comes after.

I believe in reducing inflammation through a carnivore way of eating, preparing the body with intention, and creating space for the emotional, physical, and spiritual recovery this journey invites.

If you're navigating your own transformation, I’m so glad you're here.
