Healing Before Breast Reduction: How Carnivore Shows It’s Working

Updated: Dec 3

Preparing for breast reduction can feel like stepping into the unknown — especially when you’re trying to understand whether your body is actually healing. This reflection explores the subtle but powerful signs that show up long before surgery: calmer inflammation, clearer digestion, steadier energy, and the sense that your body is finally exhaling.

Carnivore became one of the tools that helped me rebuild trust in my own healing. Not because it changed the number on a scale, but because it changed the way my body felt from the inside out. If you’re preparing for surgery and longing for reassurance, I hope these words help you recognize the quiet shifts that let you know you’re on the right path.

This post is part of my From the Vault series — revisiting the earliest pieces of my breast reduction journey and sharing them again for anyone who may have missed them.

Hi, I'm Shelley Beyer.

I’ve been through breast reduction surgery myself, and I’m here to support other women on that same path—before surgery, after surgery, and in the everyday healing that comes after.

I believe in reducing inflammation through a carnivore way of eating, preparing the body with intention, and creating space for the emotional, physical, and spiritual recovery this journey invites.

If you're navigating your own transformation, I’m so glad you're here.
