Breast Reduction Journey: Inside My Healing Process

The early days after breast reduction surgery can be tender — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. In this reflection, I share what those first few days were really like for me — the unexpected calm, the little aches, the moments of gratitude, and the quiet tears that came with it.

This post is part of my From the Vault series, revisiting the earliest pieces of my breast reduction journey and sharing them again for anyone who may have missed them. These reflections still carry timeless truths about healing — that it’s not linear, not performative, and not something you have to do “right.”

Whether you’re days out from surgery or simply remembering your own early healing, this is your reminder: you’re allowed to feel it all. Healing happens in your body and in your heart — and both deserve care.

Hi, I'm Shelley Beyer.

I’ve been through breast reduction surgery myself, and I’m here to support other women on that same path—before surgery, after surgery, and in the everyday healing that comes after.

I believe in reducing inflammation through a carnivore way of eating, preparing the body with intention, and creating space for the emotional, physical, and spiritual recovery this journey invites.

If you're navigating your own transformation, I’m so glad you're here.
