Breast Reduction Journey: Choosing Myself Again

There’s a moment in every healing journey where something deep inside whispers, this can’t be it — I need something different. For me, that moment came quietly. No big breakdown, no external permission. Just the still, certain truth that I was allowed to choose myself.

This post is part of my From the Vault series — revisiting the earliest pieces of my breast reduction journey and sharing them again for anyone who may have missed them. These words still hold so much truth: you don’t owe anyone an explanation for wanting a life that feels more aligned, more peaceful, more like home.

If you’ve been waiting for permission to change, let this be your sign. Choosing yourself isn’t selfish. It’s sacred.

Hi, I'm Shelley Beyer.

I’ve been through breast reduction surgery myself, and I’m here to support other women on that same path—before surgery, after surgery, and in the everyday healing that comes after.

I believe in reducing inflammation through a carnivore way of eating, preparing the body with intention, and creating space for the emotional, physical, and spiritual recovery this journey invites.

If you're navigating your own transformation, I’m so glad you're here.
