Breast Reduction Healing: You’re Not Falling Behind

If you’ve ever felt like your healing is taking too long — this reflection is for you. After my breast reduction surgery, I had days where I felt strong and hopeful, and others where I wondered if I was falling behind. What I’ve learned since is that healing doesn’t happen on a schedule. It happens in layers — physical, emotional, and spiritual — each one asking for grace.

This post is part of my From the Vault series, revisiting the earliest pieces of my breast reduction journey and sharing them again for anyone who may have missed them. These words still hold true: you’re not late, you’re not broken, and your pace is not a problem.

So today, take a deep breath and remind yourself — you’re not behind, you’re becoming.

Hi, I'm Shelley Beyer.

I’ve been through breast reduction surgery myself, and I’m here to support other women on that same path—before surgery, after surgery, and in the everyday healing that comes after.

I believe in reducing inflammation through a carnivore way of eating, preparing the body with intention, and creating space for the emotional, physical, and spiritual recovery this journey invites.

If you're navigating your own transformation, I’m so glad you're here.
