After Breast Reduction: Letting Go of Self-Judgment

When you’re healing from breast reduction, your body isn’t the only thing recovering. Your mind is learning how to trust a new story. Self-judgment can show up fast — especially when you’re trying to be patient, brave, grateful, and strong all at once. Those expectations can make healing feel heavier than it needs to be.

This post is part of my From the Vault series — revisiting the earliest pieces of my breast reduction journey and sharing them again for anyone who may have missed them. These truths still matter, because emotional recovery is a quiet, powerful part of this experience.

If you’d rather listen, you can press play below and let these words meet you where you are.

Hi, I'm Shelley Beyer.

I’ve been through breast reduction surgery myself, and I’m here to support other women on that same path—before surgery, after surgery, and in the everyday healing that comes after.

I believe in reducing inflammation through a carnivore way of eating, preparing the body with intention, and creating space for the emotional, physical, and spiritual recovery this journey invites.

If you're navigating your own transformation, I’m so glad you're here.
